Steve Smith MW and Brian Sheth share a love for the same things: fine wine, Aotearoa New Zealand and enjoying life’s pleasures. They met in Hawke’s Bay over a glass of Chardonnay and in 2014 realised their vision of founding a wine dream together. That dream was to craft impeccable wines from vineyards of exceptional quality and to create experiences where they could share these wines with like-minded people.

Seafood chowder - served in sourdough cup

Smith & Sheth Albarino
Pale straw coloured with refreshing lemon, lime and ripe nectarine characters.
Flavours of honeysuckle and stonefruit mingle with a subtle saltiness that
provides a savoury taste to the wine. Rich and full bodied yet fresh with mouth-watering crisp acidity giving great balance, length and structure.

Pulled lamb shank - Chef’s special onion sauce on creamed potato

Smith & Sheth Howell Cab Franc
Our inaugural release! A vibrant ruby colour leads to an aroma of fresh red
fruits with cassis and violets on the nose. These combine with tobacco notes
plus other secondary perfume from barrel ageing. A smooth, textural
mouthfeel with intensity and length. Delicious as a young wine but with some
structure to age.

Escavilada salad - with our delicious homemade mint dressing

Smith & Sheth Heretaunga Chardonnay
The 2015 growing season has produced a wine that shows great concentration in a restrained package. Great aromatic complexity with citrus flavours, roasted
nuts and fragrant flinty notes combining with an elegant, textured and
seamless palate.
The long, fresh finish and great balance will ensure that the wine will age
gracefully over the next 5 - 7 years.

Grilled Duck breast - with sauce Mole’ and blanched broccoli florets

Smith & Sheth Pinot Noir
Our inaugural release! Deep ruby red with red hues. Bright red cherry,
blackberry and dark plum with dark chocolate, dried thyme and violets. Mouth
filling and concentrated with sweet red fruit and lovely minerality. Silky texture
with fine grained tannins and a persistent red berry finish.

Baklava

Pyramid Valley Riesling
Bright and poised, still charm and that floral sweetness, yet with salient phenolics; flirtatious length and a delectable finish. After the adamant and powerful 2015, this is all fluttering lashes, blushes and smiles; a fresh and articulate representation of a balanced and breezy vintage.
