The neglected historic vineyard which became Clearview Estate, was purchased in 1986 at Te Awanga, Hawke’s Bay.

Situated on the coastline of Hawke’s Bay, the Te Awanga sub-region enjoys a warm, extended growing season with the benefit of cleansing sea breezes in a virtually frost free microclimate. A producer of award winning wines with great fruit intensity, our proximity to the Pacific Ocean offers stunning views of Cape Kidnappers: ‘the fishhook of Maui’.

Grown and vinted on the Estate, inspired by the terroir of Te Awanga, Hawke’s Bay, our grapes are predominantly hand harvested and bunch pressed.  Reserve whites and reds are infused with the complexity of barrel ferments and French oak influence.
