We turned up without a booking, but we’re seated straight away and not rushed. Service was amazing. Friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, funny and honest. Made us feel like the only ones in the restaurant. Fantastic with our shy 15 month old daughter. Food was impeccable. We ordered the kids pasta, beef cheeks and lamb shish. All were absolutely superb. Fresh, flavourful, traditional and simple. Got desserts to takeaway, amazing cheesecake and baclava. Both accompanied by delicious homemade ice cream. Hidden gem. Cannot wait to tuck in to the chutney we bought. 5/5, we will be back. Thank you very much, our visit was the highlight of our trip to Waihi. Liam, Jess and Indi

First time visit this morning for lunch with family; awesome outdoor views, didnt feel like i was coming to a restaurant, felt more like coming to a “home”. Presentation of meal and dessert awesome, service amazing, interior obviously reflects their cultural background, friendly approachable owners and staff checked on us to see how we were; so if you prefer to eat somewhere warm and have a decent meal, call in and check them out. Dont pay attention to the moaning reviews, you create your experience how you intend it to be. Will definitely eat here again; thank you for the wonderful meal.
